Within the Holocaust education unit, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students collaborate to review Holocaust laws and decrees before putting them in the timeline. Thanks to Ms. Giannella and Mr. Ross for facilitating in the large gym these past two days.

SAVE THE DATE - Have a Heart Event
The annual 8th Grade Project Pride Have a Heart Event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th from 3:15-4:15. Tickets will be $3 to come and watch the 8th grade vs staff Volleyball Game! All money raised will go to The American Heart Association and The Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation.
This week, families will receive a paper heart to decorate and send back with a $1. The paper hearts help Project Pride to raise funds and will be displayed in the large gym on the day of the event.

1st graders have worked hard this November recreating the NY version of Picasso's "The Three Musicians" in colorful construction paper collage! Both versions of Picasso's paintings are hanging together at MoMA’s exhibition, Picasso in Fountainebleau, through February 17th…perhaps a family outing 😀🎨

On Friday, we were incredibly grateful to host Author Ralph Shayne for students in grades 5-8. The book, Hour of Need, is a graphic novel about the daring escape of the Danish Jews during World War II. Thank you to the HSA Author Author Committee. Students were engaged and asked our author some excellent questions!
