HP Community,

As we wrap up this week, we hope to see you tomorrow morning at the HSA Color Run. Check-in and day of registration begins at 9:00am. The festivities kick off at 10:00 a.m.

As mentioned, families should Save The Date for our 2025 Chuseok Festival on September 27th. For any interested students who like to participate, please see the Google form HERE and the below flyer with information about the individual performance options.

As a reminder, due to inclement weather on Thursday and Friday, Field Day for Prek-2 and grades 6 & 7 will be held on Monday, June 2nd!

On Wednesday, Kindergarten had their end-of-year classroom celebrations and concert. Students did a wonderful job performing!

On Tuesday, the 5th grade hosted a Cardboard Carnival and students in grades Prek-4 had the opportunity to visit and play games. The 5th grade students did a wonderful job constructing and running the event. Also, on Thursday, the 5th grade traveled to Wild West City.

In sports news, Coach Bradbury and Coach Lewis want to give a huge shout-out to our track and field team for an incredible performance at Tuesday’s championship meet against Norwood, Northvale, and Old Tappan! This was the CHAMPIONSHIP, and our athletes came ready to compete! The energy was high, the competition was tough, and our team delivered across the board. Every athlete gave it their all, and we’re proud of every single one of you. What a way to close out the season! Congratulations to all of our athletes as you represented our school with pride, hustle, and heart.

Here are just a few of the standout performances:

  • Dylan Song came in 2nd in the 60-meter dash.

  • Leo Nakamura placed 4th in the 100-meter, and Talia Toomin took 5th in the same event.

  • Hunter Hong raced to 2nd place in the 400-meter.

  • In the 800-meter, Luke Zeccardi and Quinn Garrison both placed 3rd, with Reid Garrison coming in 4th.

  • In the 4x200 relay, Luke Zeccardi, David Joo, Thomas Chen, and Sean Blancard came in 2nd, while Quinn Garrison, Shael Kim, Chloe Kim, and Sophia Lee grabbed 3rd!

The Baseball Team completed their season this week with a tough playoff loss to Northvale. The season was filled with tremendous pitching, numerous great at-bats, and several outstanding plays in the field. Mr. Lawlor would like to thank all the boys for their dedication and willingness to learn, especially the three 8th graders Liam Donnelly, Luke Pavone and Noah Ribeiro.
