HP Community,

As we wrap up this week, the annual Halloween Parade was held on Thursday. Our Pre K-5 students enjoyed classroom crafts and parading around for family and friends! As a reminder, next week school is closed on Thursday, November 7th and Friday, November 8th for Teachers’ Convention.

We want to wish a Happy Diwali to families celebrating.

The HP 5K is tomorrow morning. Mr. Herbert and I hope to see students and parents at the Fun Run which starts at 9:15am!

Our Library Pumpkin Contest Winners:

* Spookiest: Jesse Beezer ( Jason from Friday the 13th)

* Most Creative: Javier Romero ( Porcupine )

* Funniest: The Devaney's ( Captain Underpants )

Thank you to all of the families that participated!

Please send in your unused candy for a donation to the Norwood Food Pantry!

In sports news, the girls’ volleyball team played a hard-fought game Tuesday taking Closter to three games. The team should be commended for all their hard work, dedication and spirit throughout the season. Please congratulate them on a season well-played.

The boys' volleyball team wrapped up their season yesterday with a hard-fought match against the top-seeded Closter team in the semifinals. Despite giving their all, the boys came up just short, losing both sets, but their effort was undeniable. From the beginning of the season to now, every single player has shown tremendous improvement—in skill, teamwork, and resilience. The boys should be proud of how much they've grown and learned this year. Thank you for a great season and Mr. Ross looks forward to what the future holds for HP boys volleyball.

There will be a quick meeting on Tuesday, November 5th after school in room 45 for any 6th to 8th grader interested in trying out for the girls basketball team. Please see Ms. Paternostro with any questions.
