    As we wrap up this week at HP a reminder that on Wednesday, February 13th we host our annual Project Pride Have a Heart Event. This event which raises funds for the American Heart Association will feature our staff playing volleyball against 8th grade students! Additionally, there will be half time contests and giveaways for all students! Open to students and parents Prek-8 tickets are $2 and can be purchased at the door or at lunch. Also for sale, are paper hearts for $1. Hearts will indicate a student or family name and be displayed in the gym for our event.

     Saturday, from 4:00pm-6:00pm is the HSA Talent Show. Please join us in the big gym for what is sure to be a dynamic show. Tickets will be $3 each at the door. The “Kindness Club” will also be selling snacks.

    HSA Pocketbook Bingo tickets are now on sale! Please log into your HPHSA.net account, go to my forms, click on pocketbook bingo and purchase your ticket today! The event will be held on the evening of April 4th at 7:00pm Seasons, Washington Township.

    Our annual food drive leading up to the 100th Day of school finished today.  Each homeroom was challenged to bring in 100 nonperishable food items. All donations went to the Christ Episcopal Church in Teaneck and the Center for Food Action in Engelwood. Thank you HP for your generous support as we were able to donate thousands of nonperishable items!

    A reminder for parents that walk their children to and from school. When using the side Lynn Street parking lot by foot, please use the yellow lines and cones when walking as a safety precaution.

    In support of 8th grader, Maya Soares as she undergoes treatment for Leukemia, our 8th graders are selling “Maya Strong” bracelets for $2 each. Bracelets can be purchased through the main office and vestibule with Ms. Urban & Ms. Val. Bracelet proceeds will go towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

    Please note, Kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year is open! Please go to the school website and select “admissions”. Please make sure you select 19-20 when you are registering your child. Your son or daughter must be 5 by October 1st 2019. Once you register you will receive communication regarding next steps. There will be an informational parent night on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00pm.

    Camp Innovation (Harrington Park Summer STEM Camp) is officially open for registration for the 2019 summer season!  We are excited to be back for a fourth year with an expanded curriculum!     The Food Pantry

    The Food Pantry Sponsored by the Church of the Holy Communion has been open since October of 2012. We currently serve more than 50 families a month and the need continues to grow. If you know of someone needing assistance, send them our way. We would also be most grateful for any contributions you can make to help us keep our shelves stocked.                              

    Hours of Operation

    Thursdays: 6-7:30 p.m.                         

    Saturdays: 10-11:30 a.m.

    All are welcome. We ask Food Pantry Patrons to limit use of the Food Pantry use to once per week unless special arrangements are made with the church office.  We will also open during non scheduled hours if there is an immediate need.
